Interesting trip - Florida barramundi

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
we raise them for food but a few captains get to fish the ponds, they suposidly taste like snook but ive never had a bara

A barra farm near Cairns, Northern Australia has a similar setup.

He had a showpiece pond which was full of white/platinum barra (some over 2 ft long)which was specially bred, although the owner said he did not know what he plans to do with them. If he knew how much they are worth in the aquarium trade (I don't think he does), I think he can make a killing.

Someone wrote in another thread (Ashdavid?) they were worth US$2000 each!

sound's like a worth wild trip .. :D

it would be sweet if someone offered barra , p-bass , SH fishing all on one piece of land .they'ed make a killing .. :naughty:
