So my blackbelt and midas bred and she laid around 200 eggs. I didnt see dad do anything in his part but clean them. He didnt pass over them... From what i saw. So seeing as though this spawn was unplanned for mom was suppose to go to a new home today and they spawned on tuesday. The tank is also over crowded so i decided to remove the eggs the next day just to make sure they had a chance. Even though dad didnt seem to do anything i still felt whats the worst than can happen. (i watched for aggression after)So by wed half the eggs were white. I figured ok by wed night they will all be white. Wed night came around 95% eggs were white. I called it quits by then but it was late so i didnt clean out the pot. This morning its just a sea of white eggs. So i look inside just to make sure before cleaning out the pot and wouldn't you know it. 3, count em 3 wigglers in the sea of 200 white eggs. Now im trying to figure out how to separate the three musketeers from the other eggs so i can remove the fungusy eggs. Any ideas?
I told this story because i have bred fish before (its not my first rodeo) and i remember giving up on eggs after they were almost alll white. And ive seen people here say if they are turning white are no good but hey maybe you should give them a chance and dont count all your white eggs before they hatch
