I'm doing my science review and happened to find this page where it says something about lungfish.
Lungfish survive periods of intense heat and drought by going into an inactive state called estivation. During the dry season when water evaporates, lungfish dig into the mud and curl up in a small chamber they make at the lake's bottom. During the wet season, lungfish reemerge to live in small lakes and pools.
I thought it was kind of interesting.
 
you should talk to oddball about this. It happened to one of his lungfish, if i am not mistaken
