Lol interior of the tank that is. anyways i got this nifty montipora this weekend and i like how some tanks ive seen have them attached to the back glass with nothing else around it to hold it up. my question is how the heck do they get it up there? i tried some of the two part putty stuff, but it sticks to glass about as good as i do. any other suggestions?

Aquarium putty is the normal way to attach corals like that. It can even work underwater.
As i havent seen the pic im not sure but it can also happen naturally. Try to find pics of an old SW tank and you would be surprised what will grow to the glass if you dont scrub it off.
