hey i was wondering if any body had any intermedia pics of them around 3-4". mine will be here on thursday. i purchased it from very reliable source. i do not believe they are a vendor on here. im just trying to figure if i have a true intermedia. i will post pics as soon as the little guy gets here tomorrow!

The most obvious trait is that intermedia, even from a small size, will have more bars than a tem. Not sure at exactly what size the extra bars being to appear.

If you purchased from "very reliable source," then there's no need trying to figure out if you "have a true intermedia!"
It must be intermedia. Just post up some pix when the little guy gets there, whether tomorrow or Thursday!

awesome thanks for the pics guys!! now i def have something to go off of to see if it really is. the guy i purchased it from said that its a very reliable source he gets from. they come from venz. he said there is a slice chance it could be an xingu too. so he doesnt have them as high priced as what they should be. he said he did the same thing when he had azuls. no body they were azuls and he sold them all for 50 a piece and every single one of them was a azul! i have my fingers crossed, cause i have really been looking for a true intermedia for a little bit now. ive been doing alot of reading and just hearing what people are saying to look for. i will post some pics as soon as i get it.
not to be a dick, but the xingu river isn't anywhere near venezuela. Unless a hurricane picked them up and dropped them off hundreds of miles away, closer to 1000 miles away or more...
thats what i thought when i was doing some research on different location of cichlas. either way its on the way so i will have to wait and see what it really is. i wouldnt mind an xingu if it turns out to be that. only time will tell!
