so my flowerhorns have had white turds for a while and the advice i had recieved was to feed it some medicated food....to kill any internal bacteria but it has been about 6 weeks and ive notice they dont even have an appitite to eat the meds so it has no effect at all.....i just woundering what other options do i have ive had them scince they where 1.5 and now 8+ inches.....i hate to have them die .........thanks

I found that my healthy fish won't eat the jungle brand medicated food. Get some minced garlic from the grocery store (it will be in the vegetable section) and add it to the food. It must be regular minced garlic; not in olive oil or anything else. Garlic is a known appetite stimulant for fish. If you can get the fish to ingest it, the garlic alone would kill the worms after a few weeks. Of course you don't want to wait that long.

metrodinazol or metrodidizol, I forget how it's spelled. Search for hex and you will find tons of information. There are threads here, and the FH forums have a lot of info about heximita.

Curious what size tank they are in? Maintenance Schedule (waterchanges, gravel cleaning, etc.)? Water Parameters(with a decent test kit aka not strips)? Filtration? Pictures of fish?

As much information as you can supply.
