I think one of my new fishes may have caught an internal parasite. I see some mild case of white stringy poo which to me, means internal parasite. But the fish acts normal and is super active. Usually my experience with the white stringy poo is that the fish tends to have a huge long strip and it just never breaks away from the fish. But with this fish, I've noticed break away at a small length of 0.5" or less. I'm not sure if that makes any difference. Plus as of now, the fish isn't eating but they look to be acting normal where they're not skittish and just staying in 1 spot all day.

So my question is, have any of you had a fish w/ what look to be an internal parasite but the fish continued to act fine but it ultimately went away w/ no treatment? Also, does the length in the white poo have anything to do with severity (shorter = less severe?)? Any inputs is deeply appreciated...thanks!

I'm planning to treat w/ JPC and see how that goes. BTW...my water parameters are perfect.

Just a thought but maybe it isn't super stringy because you're catching it early

Although i have experienced fish with similar sounding poo... i've always started treatment at the first signs of it if it carries on for more than a few days, 3 Max.

But just one question, does the poo look almost like beads sparsely strung through some white thread??? if so you could very well have some sort of worm...
