I always went by behavior, appearance and presence of white stringy feces when judging for internal parasites. I'm wondering though, if a flowerhorn has white stringy feces in between solid feces, is it still a sign of internal parasites? I have a few juvies that will have solid stools connected by white string sometimes, and I'm wondering if this is still proof of presence of an internal parasite.

I have seen that in my fish b4. After I lost my 1st fh to it I deworm as a precautionary measure. I soak a batch of food with epsome salt and feed it to my guys for a few day each month
