I think my cichlids have some sort of internal parasite... Noticed a couple days ago the white stringy poo, and when I was taking a really good look at them today when I got home from the LFS, a couple of them are starting to get very slightly sunken stomachs, so I want to nip this problem in the bud quickly.

Problem is I only have one LFS, and they have a very limited selection of meds (it's a Petco).

The only stuff I see that might work is
Sentry Coppersafe (but looks like it's more for external parasites)
Sentry Parashield
Tetra Lifeguard

Are any of these appropriate for my problem?

Is there something better? I've got a Petsmart about 45 mins north of me that may have a better selection, and another regional LFS in the same area (Uncle Bill's Pet Center) that seems to have a decent selection. I hate to have to drive that far because my car is in the shop and I'm driving my backup vehicle at the moment, lol.

If they're still eating a little garlic couldn't hurt. Many gastrointestinal parasites dislike garlic, but don't expect it to fix the problem by itself

Try to get a medicationtht contains metronidazole.

Yeah, I found that somewhere online while I was surfing the web here at work, lol. Going to go back to petco tomorrow and look at all the ingredients, apparently API general cure has it, but I don't think I even saw that at my local Petco...
Ugh.

API General cure would be a good choice.

Got some API General Cure last night, had to open and clean my canister, because there was a little bit of carbon in there I hadn't gotten out yet, so filter cleaning, water change was 2 days ago, and first dose is in the tank... Another dose in 48 hours, and hopefully problem solved.

While dosing, should I feed as normal? Less? More?

You can feed them, some fish don't eat while on metro so don't concerned if this hapens.

OK, I normally feed them early and late, fed them early today and they ate pretty well, so might just wait until tomorrow to feed again
