So I believe both of my young magnumX umbees have some type of parasite. One of them stopped eating about a week and a half ago and the other 4 days ago. I started treatment with prazipro 3 days ago on both of their tanks. Both were eating massivore/NLS like there was no tomorrow then.. tomorrow came and they take food, spit it out, pick it up, spit it out.. anyone use prazipro with good results or should I look to another product? I've never dealt with parasites (regarding fish) before so I'm curious

Prazi-Pro is a good med for IPs, Tetra Parasite guard works and so does API General Cure. I just went thru the same thing with a small Oscar I just got. I noticed it would mouth the food and spit it out, I treated with API General Cure and in 3 days it was starting to show interest in food again in 5 days it was eating again. I did see a long white stringy defacation on the second day of treatment, after that it seemed to turn the corner. Keep the water vary clean during treatment and if this is IPs you should see results soon. If you want to switch meds do a large water change and follow the instructions on the package.

Thank you! My bigger male just ate a tiny bit and kept it down but the other still spits it out, bums me out cause he's so eager to grab the pellet.
