i jusr got a tank i will use 2 1.5" PCV overflows on each corner. My question is are they noisy? Im just gonna drill 2 holes and put in a bulkhead with pvc all the way up to the top. Anyone have any nice designs on how to do this.

From my own experience at LFS, it will have some noise, bro :D

And don't forget this little trick. It works like a charm.

Your drawing looks as if you are planning on drilling the bottom. You gave no reference to this tank material, so I will ask if it's glass of acrylic. If it's glass check to be sure it's not tempered. If it is, give it a big kiss before you start drilling it. It will shatter into tons of nice square sparkly things on the the floor. Of course if it's acrylic, you have no problem.

sorry. tank is a 300g acrylic tank it had an overflow box but the previuos owner removed it and threw it away. They partially covered the 2 sides of the tank with like 6" black acrylic. So intend to put 2 pvc overflows behind those black panels. That way they will be hidden and my fish will have more swimming room. here is what the tank looks like.
