Intex Pool Filter for my 135 gallon tank

I bought a above ground pool this summer and now have a working 1500 gph pool filter with nothing to do. Long story short the pool was damaged so the filter has no use. I was wondering if anyone has ever used a pool filter for their tank filter? Any Suggestions on how I can pull this off or would this be a disater waiting to happen?

It probably doesn't do bio filtering only mech. You may be able to modify it. I've never had one to messed with.

You think I could run let's say a Jebo 838 for the bio and then the Intex for the Mech.
