Intex pool/pond, suggestions?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Every time I had a pool like that, it always would start to leak water after a couple of days. Also, the part that is filled with air would leak also. Your best bet is to get a large hard plastic pool. Plastic pools aren't as large, but if you are going to use it temporarily, it should be fine. The Doctor.

I ran two for 3 years (some temp huh? long contract) no problems (in the Florida sun too).

You have to 'install' them properly. I removed all vegetation from under it and out to 3ft around it. Dug down 3" for the removal and put in 4" of construction sand for the base to keep vegetation from coming back (don't use weed killer under or around these as some weed killers are petroleum distillates, which will degrade plastics).

Needless to say I didn't use the filtration system that came with it (it will circulate the water tho :D).

And the twelve footer is $95. here @ target http://www.target.com/Intex-Easy-Set-Pool-12x30/dp/B000ZKNWNW/sr=1-9/qid=1206491536/ref=sr_1_9/602-3692814-2634226?ie=UTF8&pricerange=&index=target&field-browse=1038576&rh=k%3Apool&page=2

So not a bad catch.

I use Intex ponds just not the inflatable ones, I think your better with the pool that comes with a metal supports.

X2-i had one with the blow up ring, the blow up rings pop really easily. the ones with the frames are much better.
