Hello friends/
Hi i wan 2 say a very important thing to all the members.
I am from India where there a lot a fish enthusiasts around but sadly the local authorities came up with a strange fish when fishing in the nearby lakes.
It was unseen to all the local people but not to me it was a giant sized pleco.
Plecos are not native to the indian subcontinent . It came because it was dumped by some hobbyist after it out grew their tanks . Since then the number of plecos that have been captured in nets and on line lines is uncountable.
It has played a havoc on the natural ecosystems. A number of lakes have been eutropicated as the native flora and fauna have been severely stressed out by the introduced species. These plecos are being fished out and mercilessly destoyed . These poor creatures are suffering bcos of no fault of their own .
So pls b a responsible fish owner and care for your environment.
If if you acquire a fish be prepared to care for it.
