Hello to all. I am relatively new to the aquarium hobby. I have started with a 29 gal. which is now full and have recently purchased a 100 gal. and I am in the process of setting it up. The Aquarium world is certainly fascinating and I have learned a great deal in a short time. The local fish stores (Mom and Pop) have been the greatest. I live in rural Arkansas so the selection is not that great. I started with a 300 gal. outdoor pond with gold fish but shortly graduated to an indoor tank. I have Platy's. Mollies, Guppy's, Cory's, Tetra's, Barbs. I will be branching out as I fill the 100 gal. tank. I am interested in filtration. I have a power head on the 29 gal. but it had a hard time keeping up. Frequent water changes are routine. I setup a Eheim 2228 that I purchased for the 100 gal. in the 29 gal. to get some bacteria started and WOW! THe water is amazing. I need to have some advice on what size of canister would work well in the 29 gal tank. I am unfamiliar with most filters. The Eheim is the only one that I have. So any advise on size, brand places to buy etc. would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to contributing to Monsterfishkeepers and hopefully helping others.
Happy fish watching
