Ladies and Gents:

To be honest I want to get my post total to 5 to look at some of these amazing pictures :) but heck I might as well through in a little substance.

I've been keeping tanks since I was a little kid, salt 2001. I currently have a 135 with an Adult Imperator and a Yellow Tang. I just recently lost my Coral Beauty of 3.5 years. It was always very healthy, it just didnt come out to eat one day. With a couple hundred pounds of live rock, an ASM Skimmer(rated for 220 gallons), and plenty of room I can't image I did anything wrong, I just wonder how old the CB was before I got it. Anyhow I am hoping to get a flame angel and fill out the tank with a couple selections from this list...

Maroon Clown
Greenbird Wrasse
Niger Triger
Hippo Tang
Blonde Naso Tang

I used to have a two lions but gave them back to my buddy/fishstore because at the time i had a 55 gallon and switched to smaller fish like my current tang, deceased CB, etc. I really miss my lion but dont think that one could coexist well with my very bossy Imperator. Someone could get hurt.

Ok so I have rambled a bit, nice to meet you all.

welcome. id say maroon clowns are really cool looking especially when mature. im not much for wrasses but i do like the harlquin tuskfish. if i had a 135gallon id get one for sure..

Nice to meet you all and thanks for the welcome.

Alas I did try a tusk and I am still reeling from that loss. My usually great source for fish got me one this spring and for the first four weeks things were great. The tusk was taking food out of the Imperator's mouth at feeding time. But in a matter of days the tusk stopped eating, retreated to the rocks and died. My amateur attempts to save him and diagnosis him after death led me to believe that he died of an internal infection. He was very skinny when I got him so i guess in that weakened state he was vulnerable to infection.

Yeah am still pissed about losing him and not willing to go there again for along while.

You are going to have a couple of dead tangs if you do that.

do which part?

I wouldnt mix a hippo and a naso, but am pretty sure that a yellow tang can coexist with either one in a 135.

Deffinitly, but not all three. the hippo and Naso would beat the $hit out of each other. There will stil be conflicts between the yellow and which ever other tang you choose but it should be to a minimum and they will not be serious squabbles.

Not that I would due to basic rules of tang keeping, but I really wonder if a Blue Hippo and Naso really would fight. They seem to be really relaxed fish, I just cant remember if I have seen them together before and doing well.

As far as the Yellow goes. He likes to cause trouble with anyone. He still likes to confront my Imperator and grunting ensues on a daily basis :)
