Introducing Breeders..

I was just wondering what the best way to introduce semi adult fish to breed is?.. my male is slightly aggressive to his prospective mate and I don't want to risk her. She is a proven breeder and isn't aggressive at all I just don't want him to kick her ass if you know what I meen.. any advice would be greatly appreciated..

put a divider in with a hole big enough for her to fit in but not large enough for him to that way she can come and go when she is getting picked on

Assuming they are egglayers...put flat piece of slate next to an egg crate divider . Thay way the male can fertilize thru the egg crate while the fish are separated.

Just make sure to put the slate on the downstream side if theres a current in your tank.
