I need some aro experts to weigh in on this. I have a 125 with an 8 inch silver aro, five 6-7 inch cichla, and a 5 or so inch RTCxTSN cat. My buddy has a 6-7 inch jardini that he wants out of a 46 bow he has so he can put something else in it. I would like to take it, buy I know of the horror stories with jars and want to know what my chance of failure is if I try this.

The Pbass are tough little things and I'm really only worried about aro on aro violence in this situation. How do you guys think this would play out?

Thanks.

the odd in not favorable but u can try anyway and gamble

 Exactly, what's the worst that can happen? You can always buy more PBass and another silver aro if ya need to.

id be more worried about the tsn/rtc eating the cichla when it gets huge lol. Its worth a shot, keep an eye on them. Also remember that it might work for now, but when some jardinis get bigger they get more aggro and might not tolerate the rest of the tankmates.

Yeah you guys kinda summed up my fears and thoughts. The aros and bass are both safe for now. Both are way too big for the cat to eat. I have a pretty good feel for that experience, since i had to pry a foot long silver from the mouth of a foot and a half long RTC at my friends house a couple of months ago.

The Jar showed a little aggression when he was with my buddies Pbass, so I probably will play it safe and not do it, even though the thing is beautiful. I'd rather it not fly off the handle at some point and turn my tank into a warzone.

To tell the truth I think you should be removing fish not adding fish

All the fish you have now will out grow your tank fast but hey that's not the ? You asked so back to your ?

If you add a jar you are just asking for problems

I know how big my fish get. I'm not one of those people that has no idea or is in denial about how big they will be. Its a grow out. I have a 300 gallon tank as well, and a big stock tank that will be set up once I get the right filtration for it. Everything is very well planned out.

Like I said, I'm not going to do it. Its too much of a risk to try.

Thanks
