So I have begun another journey this time with this little dude he has loads of attitude I can't wait for him to grow up he's gonna be a beast already on the fast track to becoming one of my favorites I'll try to get more pictures tonight when I get home he's kinda shy but he's smashing omega one sinking cichlid pellets, (in house raised feeders and crickets IMG_20200222_203726.jpg

When you first saw the fish it was like "Gimme Shelter." Don't put a smaller fish in there with the him/her, it might bite it in half and "Let it Bleed." Did you take the back pane of your tank and "Paint it black?" It will really help the colors pop. Be sure to clean the "Rocks Off" when you do tank maintenance. He looks to be in pretty good shape, not "Torn and Frayed." Watch out for Jags cause they can be a real "Beast of Burden" and not tolerate some tank mates...picky with food etc. If he/she turns out to be a real glass banger he/she will be like, "Can't you hear me knocking?"

Anyways nice pick up. Mick is a fitting name...at least your Jag has musical taste.

OMG Wharf Wharf lolololol

Nice looking P. managuensis it’s sure to grow out to be a beast. I miss the pair that I had many many years ago. This is a species that I have always wanted to grow out another pair of and will do so one day! A common species but a good species!

I was actually thinking of getting Jags. Then The Wet Spot got in the wild GTs and I went that route instead.

Keep us updated on how the guy grows out.

I had a female jag once "I used to love her but it's all over now". If you aren't prepared for a big cichlid you are "playing with fire" so I got a female cichlid that is more manageable , "she's a rainbow" unfortunately she's looking bored by herself, maybe she's "waiting on a friend". Anyway it's lunchtime, might get some "goats head soup".

What nonsense you have started Wharf Wharf !
Very nice jag beau1990 beau1990 good luck with him. Hope he give you lots of "satisfaction"
