I guess this is a fairly quick question but i am considering introducing 1 or 2 more Tat's to my already established pair and i jsut wanted to know peoples thoughts regarding this? I knew when i got them that it was possible that they would become too teritorial to add more but if there was a better than 50/50 chance it would be ok, or even a technique that would work, i would give it a go. Any thoughts?

FWIW i have 1 dominant Tat that is fairly bad temprered and one that seems a little more easy going. The bad tempered one even looks more miserable.... :)

I have been told that Tats are the more gregarious of the big three.I currently have one of each but dont know how long this will last as my Armatus appears to be getting tired of having the Scomb and Tat around for too much longer.I have seen pictures of groups of Tats and its quite a sight,I plan to get more of them.

I kinda got away from your question, there may be some squabbles in the beginning but things SHOULD settle down. How big is the tank?

I did just as you are asking about with little to know aggression. And no damage or biting what so ever. I had one for a year before getting the other 2. The first one I had was a shy fish and i rarely seen it eat. The second and third fish were more than a inch longer then the first. I was concerned about the same things that you are now. I just quarintined the 2 new ones for a couple of weeks. And treated them for any parasites and any other disease with prazipro for parasites and maracyn and maracyn2 baths for the fin damage that they had when i got them. I also kept the temp at about 82-84 and salt in the tank at 1tbs for every 5g of water in the quarintine tank. After there treatments were done i put them in with the original one and they instantly schooled in the middle of the tank. As time went one the oldest one became a hole different fish and was not shy anymore at all. In my experience they are a completely different fish in a group. They will hunt for feeders in a pack. And use each other to ambush prey. It is hard to explain, But on many occansions I have noticed that one will chase feeders out of the plants while the others set at the bottom and wait for them to swim by. I allways tell every one who has the chance to get as many as the can. i myself would like to get a few (few) more when the chance arrives. http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o245/boostfeind_photos/?action=view&current=11-22-08035.flv

should have no problem...
maybe a little chasing and torn fins, but usually they will except each other after a while.

My pair have been together since October last year and 80% of the time they are fine together. Every so often the miserable chap will have a go at the other and a fair chase will ensue. I would not say either were particularly shy. The tank is a 160- 60" long and 30" wide.

I might just give it a go and get another/some more depending on availability.

BTW your Hujeta look pretty impressive!
