Introducing my F1 'Laguna La Perdida' FIREMOUTHS Thorichthys meeki...

Just got home, after a long trip down past London to pick up some of Andy Youngs F1 Firemouths. Just introduced my new BEAST Firemouth male and his lady friend. This guy is now my largest Meeki at 7" TL - 5.5" BL. As you can see he's a bit faded having only just been introduced but theres a lot of potential in him. He should colour up well with lots of red and the trailers on his fins are ridiculously long.

Once he settle in, that is going to be one awesome fire mouth. They really are an underrated fish in terms of looks.

He's not wasting any time haha. Lokks really good - lots of red in that dorsal.

Yeah he's a beast… getting more annd more colourful by the day… I need to catch out those other fish before he kills them (2 Jewel cichlids and two smaller fire mouths)… I'll keep the Talking Cats in as birth control, until I want to have fry off them. At the moment, I have a number given to me that are his progeny.

Is it just me or does this fish look bigger than 7 inches? One fish I've never kept before, but after seeing yours...I'm strongly considering one.
