Picked these little critters up as freebees from a spawning of some Jeff Rapps Dovii wild parents. They're in a grow-out tank at the moment and the hope is to end up with a single male "Wet-Pet"... I've absolutely no intention of getting a pair as I simply don't have time for breeding big fish any more. Anyway, here's the first pics taken today, with the largest being 2cm... We'll see how these grow and what I end up with.

One of my faves............what size tank are they in now, & what size tank will the one you keep be kept in??

30 gallons with 10 X 2cm fry... once they get to 2 inches I'll move them to a 90 gallon then the one male will end up in a 6 X 3 X 3 foot specimen tank... maybe larger if needs be.

I would recommend daily 75% WC's to keep nitrates down, or move them to the 90GL now.....how about a video of the fry? Good luck w/ them, will truly be a show fish.

Any suggestions for foods or feeding technics for these small fry?

Hikari first bites maybe? Maybe some live baby brine shrimp,or some ground up flakes. Flakes usually work then switch em over to those tiny floating pellets once they put on some size they should grow quick enough to be eating pellets in a month or two.

I always crush up massivor and hikari, but ime 10 fry in a 30 gallon tank at 2 inches, your bound to suffer some casualties

Chopped earthworms, Tetra Colorbits, beefheart flake (Angelsplus.com has it, puts on good growth)

Sounds like a good idea... They're not 2 inches yet but I'll off load most of them before they get that size if I'm sure I have a male there.
