Well I can't find the photo forum and what I'm looking for is pictures of what other big fish owners are keeping their fish in, glass aquariums with filtration, huge plastic tanks? I'm looking for ideas and I can't seem to find anything ,feeling somewhat frustrated I think it's ba
You could try the first link in my signature. It's a bit dated but begins by comparing various fish enclosures.

Well zack what the hell his last name is. But hes called catch em all fishing on youtube and is a frequent visitor at rodrigos predatoryfins released a red tail behind his house in an closed smal lake but still. They have catched tsn in some small canal. Same goes with gatorgars and *loads of cichlids of assorted species inkl red devils and oscars. All in FL. Since he started to release youtube videos of his redtails *loads of young guys started to buy redtails and other monsters.
That was before Zak knew better. IDK if he has been improving over years. I don't keep track. He came over once to us and adopted a large RTC and a pacu. I didn't know much about him other than he had an above ground pond and he had kept large fish for a while, so I let him adopt. Whether it was a mistake in the hindsight, I don't know because, again, I don't keep track of his doings. My impression is he has done the stupid RTC release long before he came to us and knew better by then.

Aren't gator gars native to FL?
Northern FL, panhandle. They are not present in central and southern FL.

Yeah that is so true. I know the released rtc is back in his huge above pond now. Some kid cought in in his backyard. I think he released it when there was some massive hurricane or storm coming in. I aint judging him for that at all. And i dont think he is that bad since rodrigo is afilliated with him. The only thing i think is to bad with him is that he has overflooded youtube with kids buying rtcs for their 75gallon tanks. :)

Can someone please tell me how to start a new thread with a new title. Also I posted a reply in "pictures of dead fish thread "and it has been removed, why?

Anyway to bring this thread up to date I purchased a RTC (not as smart as you thought) I also puchased an arrowana. so far the little RTC has hidden all day behind some rocks I hope he is OK I'll feed him tonight and hope that by the morning he is a bit more lively, tomorrow I will put the arrowana in with him so he'll have some company. Wish me luck. I have got a 5' tank for him and a 4' tank for the arrowana and we'll take it from there.,

Go to any forum page, hit a green button top right says Post Thread

Was there no explanation? If so, only the mod who's done it could explain. Perhaps you posted wrong content? Maybe the post was just moved?

I personally would arrange the tank so I can always see the catfish. A hide can be made by leaning or placing a rock next to front glass. I'd not use tank light, only ambient or room light. It is crucial to see your pet to evaluate its condition, IMHO. When small RTC will prefer to hide and will only come out at night, or perhaps when feed is present. It should lose the need for hiding after 6" or some such.

What are the sizes of the arowana and the RTC? RTC can eat the arowana.

Found the green button for thread thank you. RTC is tiny maybe 3" arowana is larger though a lot of it is finnage prob about 4"
I'm only feeding them once a day hope that's enough, I feed all my fish once a day in the evening.
Love the arowana with orange finnage but have no idea where I could get one which is probably just as well. (I shall still look though:grinyes:)

2 silver aros will fight, you've gotta get 3 or more and most recommend five or more cause three will still fight.

I didn't know that
Red tail will eat the aro in no time. As soon as it's the same size it will be gone.
Hoping to have them separated by then.:OMG:

I just had to put this in, I copied and pasted it from another forum...............

So...your attempting to keep a arowana and a redtail catfish in a 1 foot long tank? Like a 10 gallon? Are you serious or trolling? The redtail catfish can reach 220 lbs and the arowana can reach about 4 or 5 feet long...yaaa good luck with that put em together they wont last long anyway or RETURN THEM OR GIVE THEM AWAY ON CRAIGSLIST TO SOMEONE WHO CARES TO DO RESEARCH BEFORE
