Hi all. Im new to MFK,and this is my first post, so if anything is not how its supposed to be i apologize. Moving on. Recently I acquired two baby peacock bass. Not sure exactly what kind, and from what ive learned from perusing MFK itstough to identify them at such a young age. But anyway I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 babys and ive had them for about 4 days now. I Understand they do well in larger numbers but are they going to take kindly to new pbass? I think the ones i could acquire might be from same family ( IE same dealer / 2 diff pet shops but same owner ) I just wasnt sure if seeing these two are already acclimated to the tank and seem to be doing well ( ph 7, temp 79-82, love frozen mysis shrimp ) if they wouldnt take well to newcomers. I eventually plan on turning the tank into a sweet cichlid set up and put the pbass in a bigger more suitable > 400 gallon. but i just wanted to make sure everyone gets along all happy nice nice like and have no problems. Also, recommended algae eater to go along with pbass? Ill try to attach pics if anyone cares to take a stab at the identification game, but i dont wanna add another " id " post to the cichla thread. Thanks! Rog-

when there are little like that there will be some aggression but nothing major..i would add new pbass asap..now if they were a year old u might have a problem..but right now you should be fine..

Raise your temp to 84-86f to avoid ick plus cichla like warmer temps.

move your decor around then add the new bass should upset confuse enough to add more fish with no problem but that is not to say there will not be ...

Nice little pbs, try to add more and let the tank lively.

very nice.. u should get at least 4 more peacock bass.. i have 6 in a 220gal tank but mine r very big now.. the biggest male is 22inch already.
