Hello, I have a 20 gallon saltwater tank and yesterday I decided to get a red mushroom coral. I woke up this morning only to see most of my fish are now dead :( My question is could it have happened because of the new coral? It killed my fish within less then 24 hours so I have no idea what it could have been. Please help. Oh also I recently received a cleaner crew from reef cleaners yesterday, could that have killed my fish?

test your ammonia, if some of your clean up crew was DOA and you didnt check close they coulda spiked your ammo up

20 gallons are tough because any slight change in the water can wipe out the whole tank. Something may have gotten contaminated. That's why I'm sticking with fresh for awhile again, the salt trek will break your heart daily and own you. I have a 55 that I'll someday turn back into a salt....

Ya I've been in fresh for awhile now and I wanted to try something different this time. My brother did salt for awhile too until he lost at least $350 in fish to ammonia. He sold his tank today actually.

Will do, I just ordered another test kit on amazon so it should be here soon. I have some ammonia reducer so I treated my tank with that for now. I managed to bring one of my shrimp and clowns back to good health. They were the only two still alive, but barely.
