Introducing sand.

I Just got my Tahitian moon sand in the mail. I'm going to clean it obviously and turn off my filters. Is it safe to put the sand in while the fish are still in the tank?

Do you have gravel or any other substrate now?

Move all fish to a corner of tank with a barrier or something and gently place the sand in trying not to splash it around which will get the water cloudy.

I will usually use a really fine net and lower to the bottom

Are u tryin to make the tank half gravel half sand because that looks really nice.
