Hello.... just looking for some thoughts, ideas, advice.

I have a black arowana around 22", its hard to guess exact size as it moves constantly, in a 675 gallon (10' x 3' x 3'). I am growing out a silver arowana (currently around 11") in a 300 gallon and not sure how big it should be before introducing to the large black.

There are other smaller fish already in the 675, most notable is a 8" pink-tail chalceus, roselines, lelupe, julidochromis, etc.

Any suggestions when the silver can be introduced and how to go about it? Maybe at water change time? The silver is growing slowly because there are many aggressive eaters (rainbows, filament barbs, etc) in the 300 gallon with it.

Thanks!

Can you post pics of your 675? I really want to see Julies Leleupi and an aro!

There's going to be some fighting going on. Usually with aro you want 3 or more 2 usually doesn't work
Hmmm... did not know that. Easy enough to get another silver to make three.

How about the size difference? How big should the silvers be when introduced to the 22" black?

I will try to get a photo today. The Leleupi swim right up to the Arowana, especially at feeding time... makes me nervous. :)

At least 14 to be on the safe side, probably best to feed the bigger aro on the other side of the tank, and introduce the smaller ones on the other side.

Any pics/videos?

Just dont be disappointed if your current aro kills the others. Even tho arowana seems like a peaceful fish there not. Not even close. There very territorial with other aro
