do rays generally hide when new tank mates are introduced. how long is too long for the hiding to go on for? basically im asking when should i start worrying.

the tank mates in this situation are 2 6''P. senegalus and 2 6'' endlicheri congicus.:headbang2

the Motoro stingray are both 7-8'' in diameter

sometimes they will hide...

I am not familiar with the species that you introduced, but stingrays each have their own unique personality. I've got a leo/pearl that is almost a foot wide and will hide from a discus, if it moves too quickly; I also keep a tiny leopoldi that will tackle anything in sight to investigate it.

With new tankmaktes, I would suggest caution; unless you are watching them 24/7/365, some unfriendly interactions may be taking place- especially, I've noticed, at night.

Best of luck, and keep us updated!

everyone gets along, however, ever since the Bichirs have entered the tank my female ray just has been hiding all the time except when food is present; my stingrays are pigs. ill keep u updated, ill post some pic in the polypterus forum.
