Any tips on introducing new tiger Barbs into my Arowana pond?
When the pond was new I added some tiger barbs as test fish.

Now i have some Arowanas and Oscars in the pond, but i do see somebarbs have not been eaten.
I want to introduce Albino ones. I've had these growing out in my tank.

any tips? should i introduce them when all lights are off?
to give them chance to adjust hehe.

any tips? :D

Hmmmm, by the "hehe" I take it you don't think they will survive....lol..
try and introduce them AFTER you have fed the owners of the space...I mean really fed them good....then maybe, just maybe...you will have survivors..maybe.

Albino tiger barbs won't last in that pond....

thanks!! :D I have some existing tiger barbs in the pond,
and i saw some babies. they have been in the pond for a few months.
But i bought some more tiger barbs, this time albinos.

but i think albinos will have less camouflage, and another worry is they might do bad to my existing tiger barbs since the normal ones mights school with them and they are albinos :D
but i'm hoping these albinos survive too.

they are now in another tank taking up space.

i tried to add feeder mollies too into the pond, but those were all finished off my the oscars or arowanas.

I'd like to see the pond! Would be pretty cool to have a school of breeding things like tiger barbs. The other fish can pick off the odd one etc. With plenty of hiding spacies and big fish exclusion zones seems its possible to do..

Personally I would forget albino barbs.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. My 6" male jack Dempsey took out a group of 12 tiger barbs by himself within a week. Barbs go head down/sleep mode, and it was game over. Maybe if they have lots of hiding areas and cover, they'll survive for awhile, but a hungry fish is a determined fish.

What's up with the smiling icon?
