Introduction

Hi to all MFK,

My name is Peter Mizzi, I live in Sydney NSW and have been into fish for about 5 years my current tank is a 6x2x2 with the following stock.

Red Tail Giant Gourami
Clown Knife
Red Belly Pacu
2 X Larg tinfoil Barbs
Datnoid
Lung Fish
2 x Large Clown Loaches
Gold Spot Pleco
Armoured Bichar

I recently noticed my Datnoid occasionaly rubbing himself on the substrate, There is no sign of white spot and he eats me out of house and home, I have noticed at times what appears to be mucus on his body.

I was wondering if anyone out there may be able to tell me what may be wrong,and a fix.

I currently run 2 x Ehiem 2028 filters and my water temp is between 28-29 degrees celcius.

Holy cow. How much did that stock set you back? Have you got any big tanks plans for us? Welcome to the board.

I have plans for a 10x3x3 maybe next year if all goes well

welcome peter! you should post some pics of your fish when you get time, id love to see them! if i see fish flashing on substrate or surfaces of rock the first thing i would do is test your water parameters and see if anything weird is going on there...

I tried ti upload directly to the site but to no avail, I have uploaded some pics to facebook if anyone is interested.

I check the parameters of the water on a regular basis and they are always the same 0.0.0 Ph 7.0 Water Temp between 28-29C
