Well people, I have to say that Im overwhelmed a bit with this site, its taken me maybe a year to post this thread. But my interest in the aquarium hobby was haulted because of me moving. I intentionally waited a year till my basement was painted and topped off with the whole theater thing. I have a 120 gal empty tank that I plan on putting together again once I get a new stand, canopy, and filter. I may not need a new filter but its an XP3 filter that hasnt been turned on since my move. I want a new sand subtrate and dont know if sand is ok with this type of filter. I like Trimac, Escondido, Grammodes, and some of the SA cichlids. Im not sure if these can all go in the same tank being that my tank is 120g. Can these fish go together with loaches, if not what kind of scavenger would work?
