Hello, I'm new here on site. I've been a NOOB collector for several years, and recently I've decided to go pro. I picked up a 48x24x30 Acrylic tank, started to build my own freshwater sump system. In the mean time I have my fish in what I call Starter tanks... 1 male tiger oscar and 1 possibly female albino oscar in a 45 gallon tank ( over crowded I know but the big tank will be ready soon!) 1 pink convict, 1 jag, 1 pleco in another 45 gallon tank.
I hate having 2 small tanks that would be out grown so I spent the big bucks and right now I'm waiting for the tank to arrive at my LFS then I get to setup my system and let it cycle for awhile to build up as recommended by my LFS. before the tank is fully setup I'm going to install LED lights under the gravel and possibly at the 4 corners at the top of the tank. I know yall polly think i'm nuts to try underwater lighting, but I think hoods look ugly... that and its a tall ass tank!
I'm a big fan of monster fish and I have used this site as a reference for several months now.
I've been trying to figure out what to put in the tank for decoration that will look cool. I've been wondering if an industrial design would be possible, in a post-apocalyptic fashion...
Anyway this is supposed to be an Introduction so This is me, Stramn, age 22 Male from michigan. My Gf and I love FISH!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to be on this website.
