Hi All,

My wife and I have a few tanks now. We started out with one marine tank keeping seahorses, I have now collected a few more tanks but have gone with Tropical and one brackish tank. We have 3 display tanks in the house now and I have another 9 breeding/display tanks in the granny flat as we call it (triple garage with one end converted).

I have started breeding for the challenge and the enjoyment of it NOT for the money but it does help with the food and power bill!!!!! I have so far breed guppies and mollies and just recently have had a couple of breeding pairs of BN catfish started to produce offspring and going well.

I have a desire to get a discus to successfully breed at least once LOL. I have commissioned a new tank to be built just to be a discus tank. Will most likely add in some neon tetras and congo tetra schools also.

I would like to do a few tank journals and show my progress as we go to get advise/feedback on things we are not sure about along the way. I have also got my wife to agree on another marine (aggressive tank) moray eel, lion fish etc. so will be looking for help with that one as well, over all probably a 2year project ahead of us. Hope you guys can share it with us and let us in on some aqua secrets !!!:)

Thanks and look forward to chatting !!

welcome!

sounds interesting, definitely make a thread to show progression, those are always interesting

Welcome to MFK!

welcome to mfk.. sounds very interesting that you have a goal to move into deeper waters..lol.. you are in the right place ..because we will all help move you along.. and we will have fun too.. nice to meet you and say hello to your wife..

Thanks for the welcome all,

I have read a few posts on here so far, I find them interesting hearing about other peoples experiences. I read a thread about an octopus being kept in a bucket last night......have to say that people on this site are very passionate about the fish keeping hobby :) ........... if they agree or not!!!!

Anyhow I hope to read a lot more and maybe state a few threads of my own.....

Thanks again for the welcoming!!
