I don't have any picture proof any longer, but when I lived in Peth Australia, before moving to the US in 2013, I heard a rumor of geophagus brasiliensis being netted in teh western suburbs of Perth. I confirmed the rumors as truth by cast net catching these geos in 2 separate public bodies of water. The very first cast of my net in a small creek I caught a 9" female. I was totally shocked. Over the ensuing days I caught about 100+ in the 2-4" range in the same creek system, which incidentally drained into the Swan River. I also caught a bunch in a small 1/2 acre pond on 1 of the public golf courses.
