Invasive species homework? Snakehead Question

Okay so I did an invasive species essay in school. It was on the spot they handed it to me and I had 42 minutes to finish it. So of course I wrote about snakeheads! Lol. But, I also included Burmese pythons in florida as that's like one of the most well known invasives in america. My science teacher read it after I got 6 points which is the highest possible. She read it and she is like "what's a snakehead?" I thought that she would have known. So I ended up giving her a lesson lol. But my English teacher gave her the essay for her to see how well knowledged I was on the subject. But I'm wondering have any of you ever taught anything to a mentor,teacher, older person? I've done this on multiple occasions even to some stupid people at chain pet stores :). Also if known where in America are snakeheads such as the regions which I believe is all. Also what type of water are they in? I've heard of them being in ponds and lakes but not streams or rivers. Thanks

You live in Jersey, right? There should be Northern Snakeheads not too far from you. I know they have them in Meadows Pond in Queens NY, and supposedly in Clove Lakes, Staten Island, but I've been fishing/hanging out in Clove since I was 7 and never saw one. But who knows. They can be found in any kind of freshwater, from swampy ponds to fast-flowing rivers.

Some of us might like to read your essay. You should post it.

Yeah I taught her all I knew about snakeheads. Like how they came here and why. What they look like and like a background of them. Snakeheads were the first thing that came to mind so I just wrote about that

Wow asked her today and she said I can't take it out of school as its a quiz grade. So ill see if she ever hands it back out if not then I can't get the paper. :(
