I have a mildly brackish 5 gallon hex customized to accomidate a penguin 100b filter with a sponge prefilter yanked over the intake I use to breed feeders.

I have two pairs Platinum Lyretail Mollies making babies as I type. Can I throw Ghost shrimp in there with them safely? Is there a mild salt snail?

I'm looking for something that likes salt, won't eat my stock, and won't further crowd my already over crowded breeder.

Mollies can pick ghost shrimp apart

You could look into some hermit crabs, some like brackish

not really considered an invert by many,
but mudskippers are really cool!

By any, actually. Land area (at the least, a floating haul-out platform) will be necessary. Most commercially available species grow far too large for a 5 gallon.

Vampire shrimp and most fiddler crabs adapt to mild brackish quite well.
