Last week I was @ my brothers house looking @ his tank,he asked me to build him a new stand.I thought if would be cool to do a built in with it.
So last sat. morning we went to the depot & got some wood & some trim.
Next we drained down the tank & set up the temp tank for his fish.
After cleaning the tank I painted the back & sides flat blk.
Letting the paint dry I got busy on the wall.It is an existing wall so I had to becarefull.
I removed the framing, but left the drywall intact(mostly anyway few nail pops).
I then built the stand out of 4x4s & 2x4s,then installed the stand as a unit in the existing wall.
Buy now the paint is dry,so i protect it with masking tape & move it to its final spot in the wall.
Then came time for the electricl, just added a GFI for the tank.
Then refilled the tank with the existng water & added the fish back.Afew pieces of trim & it was done.
The whole thing took 12 hrs,not to bad.
Anyway let me know what ya think of it.
PS I for got the cam so there are no build pics
