Ipad 3 not called Ipad 3?

Just a random thought, or maybe i missed the news about it but has any one else noticed that Apple doesn't seem to be calling the ipad 3 an ipad 3, but instead "The New Ipad"

Makes you wonder if it has to do with the lawsuit in China, and the fact that the people there have copyrighted the word "ipad" followed by every conceivable number and letter under the sun in hopes of winning a lawsuit against Apple...
 
Ya its going to be called iPad HD. Its going to be pretty sweet some of the upgrades. But again with the small time features! The screen camera and the quad core graphics chip. And their calling it dictation instead of siri.

But at the same time i'm also guessing that by raising the viewing specs to surpass HD actually might bite apple in the butt to start with...

The reason for this is, companies will need to essentially make the graphics 4X better than what it is now for the ipad2, so a lot of apps now that are already large in file size (say close to 20MB) will almost definitely go over that file size if they were to upgrade existing apps, and thats only IF the companies decide to update their old apps...

The other problem with this is, the Apple App Store at the moment has a 20MB download limit IF your not on Wifi, which means if your on the go there are some apps you may forego on because you can't download it on the fly...

Naturally, old apps may also show up as slightly fuzzy due to the fact the new ipad will have to scale up all the images so that it can be properly viewed on the new ipad...

So yeah, i'm still waiting to see if i should pick one up yet or not, since don't want to buy something just to find the apps that are coming out won't use up all its capabilities of the device for another year or more... by which time the ipad4 would probably be released...

Well like when you use an iPod touch or iPhone app for an iPhone you see the little 2x button, when clicked makes it accessible for the iPads large screen. that will probably be the case for the iPad HD. The app will be for the iPad 1&2 but if you press the "2x"(or whatever it might be called button) it will enhance it for the iPad HD (somehow but apple amazing as they are will probably figure out how to make it work). But the 2x button is just to make the app bigger for the screen itself. Will be interesting what apple will do then... And the iPad HD is rumored to have a 4g model. On my phone I can download 20MB+ on the fly with my 4g (which is why I don't have an iPhone as it needs to play catchup on 4g speeds plus other things...) your right fersure on one thing, it will be VERY interesting on how apple will deal with this. They will make it work some how though I bet you. Have you seen their stocks lately??? Sky rocket! I have a couple stocks in apple right now I might just sell them to get some fish supplies ;)

At one point last Wednesday it was 524 a share! Now it's 568 and climbing! Buy low, sell high. Wish all stocks were that easy.
 
Yeah, i mean it will definitely be interesting to see how they go about this... coz i mean with the X2 option, i'm guessing that said apps may have been designed for an ipad 1 or 2 to start with and downgraded to work on iphones, but to upgrade graphics is a lot more tricky due to blow out of resolution etc...

Also, i think App Store did upgrade from the original 10MB download limit without wifi to 20MB when the Ipad or ipad 2 dropped, so maybe now with the ipad 3, they may raise the limit again to combat this problem...

Oh, and lastly, i think that apple announced they will have a 4G LTE Ipad3 already... just not sure if its officially launched yet...
