Is anyone planning on ordering the ipad touch from apple? I just reserved one today. I was told the ipad touch will be available april 3rd. I hope it works as well as it looks.
 
No offense, but I think it is a stupid idea. You could buy a laptop that does all the same things an Ipad does for around half the price, and the Ipad is basically just an oversized Ipod touch.
 
well they start at $500 which isnt bad. Im getting one for school. As a premed major I have a ton of text books that I could download onto this thing..which would be gr8

Comparing a laptop and a ipad is like comparing apples and oranges. The main appeal factor to the ipad is it's appearance.

Then what is the point? Would you pay 20 dollars more for toilet paper if it had designs in gold leaf? It still serves the same purpose, so why pay more for it?

Again you comparing apples and oranges.
 
read the negative reviews . . . it's overpriced and has too many limitations. it's better to wait for a 2nd or 3rd generation ipad. by that time apple will have answered the public's wants in such a media tool.
