ok for all you guys and girls that have tablets, and ipads and them kinda thing which is better and why ?? im looking to get one to browse the internet with and talk to my kids through webcam kinda thing (gf and i are splitting up and kids are staying with her as i move a hour away for work) it either some type of tablet or a ipad if i can afford one or get a new labtop as i only have a desktop the labtop would have to have MIN 500gb hard drive, dvd burner, MIN 3gb ram, 15-17" monitor... most likely my new place will have wireless internet as well (which my desktop doesnt have) what do you have and what do yo suggest i get ?

My wife has an ipad and I have a kindle fire hd and a nexus 7 for work. Hands down the ipad is my favorite to use. Just feels better smoother ease of use. All three sitting there I pick up the ipad every time. My wife gets so mad.

Just my exp. With those three good luck.

If you go with a tablet, check out the Nexus 7 (or 10). Best tablets for the money right now. I can't recommend any Apple products because, well, I just hate Apple :)

what about the blackberry playbooks ? they are only like 100-150 bucks here .... and ya i like the ipads as well but they are from 400-700 here in ontario and thats just silly IMO... id rather not blow more then 500 and even then i may not like the idea of spending that much ahaha

Don't go blackberry its the worst one IMO. Ipad is the best but I hate apple too. they are to standardized. I have the Asus tf700 infinity. Top of the line android (even more than the nexus7.) Best camera screen resolution full 1080p video recording. Android 4.1. 10.1" display 1.6quadcore processor and the best mobile graphics card integra 3. But also 499.99 and for am extra 150 you can get the keyboard attachment that adds battery life And a USB port.

I need to spark up my fish life

It just depends what you want to do with it. Ipads are the simplest to use but android gives you more freedom if you know how to use it. I have the kindle fire HD and I love it for reading and watching shows but it lacks a lot of useful apps. Performance wise they're all about the same unless you are really tech savvy. All that changes is the user interface and the available apps.

Our Asus transformer is really nice as well, I'm very glad I got it for the Mrs. over an ipad. Although for $500 you can get a pretty decent laptop if you shop around.

I use the ipad2 and its great. I agree with the blackberry playbook being the worse. My brother has one and its not smooth and it lags...but it is much cheaper then most tablets out there. U pay for what u get with the playbook...

ya i want something that easy to use, nice and smooth no lag quite quick loading pages and etc.... and i doubt i'll use or have any apps on it at all, basically use it for watching tv shows if i figure that out, checking out threads on forums and searching the net as well as skyping with the kids thats about all i need it for
