Just wanted to share some of my wc grow outs compared to the captive bred bahias.
The wild caught are growing at a rapid rate and eat as much as the captive bahias. All are on every type of pellets (floating and sinking carn, mass, NLS, sticks, sinking gold) and bahia also eats tilapia.
All were 3-4" at size but now the ipatinga and rio parana tems are 5-6" after 3.5 weeks and captive bahias are still 4-5".
First pic are of the four wc in quarantined tank. Last three pic were taken few days ago.
also the picture doesn't do the basses justice, but the wc kels are a lot more gold then the captive.
