Hello I just recieved a red eye red tail puffer and a true red eye puffer - Both awesome little fish that do well in my tanks.. One thing though- They have an irradescent sheen over their eyes. WTF Is this normal? It's not a cloud like the cloudy eye pictures, It's shiney. They both are active fish and playful.. I hope someone with some knowledge or experience can inform me better about these guys

This is 100% normal. They are more of a nocturnal species.

awesome fish, best of luck with them. post pics :)

Yeah, it happens... Not exactly sure why though??? I also noticed when i used to dose melafix and primafix that the sheen would go away for a few days...

So today i saw that both puffers eyes were red. Went to take a picture and puffers eyes changed soon as I held up the camera. I guess I have to turn off the red eye reduction?!!lol
