I have an 8 yr old irridescent shark that has developed a bulge on his left side. It cannot be seen on the right side. As of now his behavior seems normal and is still eating. Im worried im going to lose him. From reading online i think he either has a bowl obstruction or has swallowed a rock. Has anyone dealt with this before? HELP?!?

Where do I get Epsom salts from? A fish store? And what will they do? I read somewhere else peas also might do the trick.

If you can, remove him from the tank and move him to a quarantine tank. Next, do you constant water changes. Add some lax. Goodluck! (how big is the tank?)

2 tsp per 10 gallons, won't hurt the pleco or the filter. soak his food in a concentrated solution, if he eats worms inject them with a solution

I was wondering if I should turn off the filter temporarily not in fear of ruining my filer, but because I don't want it filtering all the salts out??
