Is 1'' plywood strong enough alone for tank build

Will 1'' plywood bend or bow in a 55''x36''x30'' tank or dose it need a frame?

I think Muni used 3/4 in his build that was about that size, but maybe it was 1". He said "7 ply plywood" not sure if it was 3/4 or 1".

I got the 3/4" I used from a local lumber yard here. It's Cabnet grade 7 ply. I think is it called "G1 grade" or something like that.

Read the DIY build sticky and go buy some lumber! 1" lumber will be fine. Just glue it and screw it every 3-4".

No bowing, braced very well and sealed it with sweetwater epoxy paint. check out the album for pictures on the build. Good luck.

interesting choice of colors for ur tank john =) - 1" plywood is strong, i agree with pharaoh - u should be fine.
