I got a 20 Long with an aqueon 20 and 2 tetra 30-60s on it bringing it to 785 GPH

which is a 39.25 turnover per hour...

My water is CRYSTAL clear but I just wanted to make sure this was ok

I think thats fine, its not like if it were coming from an FX5 :D

Lol, true. But then again, who would put an FX5 on a 20?

I've got an ac110 on my 20L, you're fine.

You just gave me the greatest rivertank idea. ever.:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2
FX5 flows about 500-600 GPH with media, for about $250. 3 maxijet 1200s flow 900GPH (rated flow) for $60. Don't waste your money

Is your Tetra filter a 30 or a 60? I am familar with the Tetra 30, and the Tetra 60, but not a Tetra 30-60...

The gph rating on both of these filters is the amount of water the motor is capable of moving with zero restriction...

Restriction due to media, diameter of tubing, lift/head pressure, etc, etc will reduce this flow rate considerably...

In my experience smaller HOB filters loose a higher percentage of their flow rate than larger HOBs...

Thus you do not have an actual turnover rate of 39.25 turnover... it is much more likely around 20~25...

If you are indeed using the 330 gallon Tetra filter, it is 13.5 inches long... So do you have the Aqueon 20 on the side of the tank?

yes i do, and I am running the 20 long without a top because I only have cons in it
