I'm looking online and I found a pretty good deal on a 46 gallon bowed-front tank with the stand. Is this size big enough for my green terror fully grown with a couple of smaller fish?

No not for a grown GT. 75 gal is needed for a male IMO

gallons is next to useless with large fish as its foot print that counts more, ie they need cruising space. but i wouldnt have thought a 46g would have a footprint large enough anyway. you need a foot print of at least 3x1.5ft for a female or 4x1.5ft for a male to be on the safe side. male saums can hit a potential 12" but those are uncommon. more common is 8-10" for a healthy and well cared for male.

yeah a 55 would be a minimum for a full grown, but a 46 will do for years

I'm not sure about that, I have a pair in a 68 Gallon and my male has grown from 3" to over 6" in just under 2 Months.

I would say not with other fish, but a 46 bowfront is fine for a single specimen. Most hit 9 inches tops and take a long time to do so. They are notoriously sloooooow growers. But even at 9 inches you would be fine if you maintained well. They are not thick like oscars, flowerhorns, or midas. I think a 46 bowfront with a GT would make a beautiful display tank.

the dimensions of the 46 gallon are vital for an answer really. if you have a really tall bowfront at 46g then its not gonna be suitable for more than a couple of months max.

as for growth loads of factors come into play. amount of feeds per day, water changes, genetics, what type of food etc. i got about an inch a month till he hit above 6" then it slowed down, i fed 3 times daily with varied food (never feeders) and regular water changes.
