OK, well Ive always had glass tank. And NEVER paid full price for any tank that I have or have had. I bought a 260g glass tank not long ago.. Got a really really good deal for it. But Im not liking the footprint of the tank. I really want another wide tank. So have been looking and found a acrylic tank for sale a few hundred miles from me. (not alot of large tanks in my area, so sometimes have to travel). Its a 240g acrylic USED tank. 84' L x 30" W x 23" H. He also hs lights, sump and stand frame, but I only asked about the tank.
Anyway, wanted to find out, is 600.00 to much for that size acrylic tank.
he is asking $850.00 for everything, but Im not sure it its all worth it.. Ill post a copy of his add below.
Really just wondering is 600 is to much for that size tank..
HIS POSTING SAYS:
I have a 240 gallon acrylic aquarium that is 84' L x 30" W x 23" H. It is thick acrylic, eurobraced on top, and has large dual rear overflows (each corner). It can come with a basic framed stand that hasn't been finished yet, all plumbing, a GenX PCX40 return pump, a 60 gallon acrylic sump, an almost new 6' compact fluorescent light like this: http://www.amazon.com/Lunar-Aqualight-Power-Compact-Fixture/dp/B0002DIG7Y. I had it set-up as a reef aquarium for a couple of years and it was awesome, but I ran out of time and sold off all of the livestock. A new tank of this size sells for about $2000, without the stand, lighting, or sump. It makes a great reef tank, freshwater planted tank, or large community tank (lots of swimming area).
