Swimmin' with the fishes
Simple question. Been growing out 5 juvies in a 55g my garage. Now that it's summer (in Phoenix) the water temp is constantly in the lower 90s. They seem to be doing fine, but it's going to keep getting hotter, and I just want to make sure it's not going to get TOO hot.

I've got tons of aeration as I'm running three sponge filters, so oxygen levels are fine. feed them twice a day and get weekly water changes

If u haven't done so already...unplug ur heaters. Do a wc and bring the temp back into the 80s.

Freeze water bottles and place them in the tank and monitor tank temp.

I've kept them in water up to 88 before with no problems what so ever. 95 seems hot but then again I have no first hand experience with keeping them at that temp. If there is no way you can get the water a little cooler then you may not have any options. Just make sure you have a ton of bubblers going to keep the water very well oxygenated. The fish will tell you if they can handle it. If they slow down or stop feeding or if they are gasping for oxygen you have a problem. Maybe try putting a fan or two in the garage to circulate the air, it may cool the air/tank down a couple of degrees.
