I have been cycling my new 180 gallon tank (72X24X24) with a 30 gallon sump filter. I am ready to put some P bass in it. Will 2 Monoculus and 1 ocellaris live in this size tank for an extended period or will they out grow it down the road? Future tank mates will be 2 freshwater rays and maybe a gold nugget pleco to keep the wood clean.

those guys should be good for a long time... possibly there permanent home. if nothing else is added.. but having pbass, or any monster fish... they will be alot more happier if they had more swimspace... but for now youre GOOD!!

by the way lookin at your avatar WELCOME ...

you will deff be good for a while as long as you dont over stock it and have good filteration and as mjunior said it may possibly be there home for good. possibly!

i think the monster fish rule is like 3 inches for every 1 U.S. gallon

The 180 will be good for a time though I wouldnt add the other fish. Eventually you will need more space for the pbass IMHO.
