I currently have one 6" male Red Dragon in my 70g (Fluval Vicenza 260) filtered by a Fluval 305, my lfs is selling FH females at 2" what would happen if i put her in there with him and is the tank big enough long term for them both.

Also would breeding stunt my males growth? or am i better off with him as a solo wet pet?

And by him having a female, would he be less interactive with me?

I think it will be okay for now. If you decidee to get the female, the best thing to do is put a divider between them so they can get used to each other and wait until the first batch of eggs go bad before youintroduce them. If you put them together without a divider, your male will probably kill it

With a female in the tank, his kok will shrink. The 70 gal is ok for now. You WILL need a divider. With FH, they can get along great one minute and not the next. And if you do get her and breed eventually, b/c of his size being so much bigger, set up divider at an angle so the female can slip under it without the male being able to get under it. She will need space to get away from the male is he's getting too aggressive.
